WALTER SUMMERFIELD – PRIVATE 35225
Walter was born in Gatley Green Cottage, Nether Alderley in 1890 to James and Louisa Summerfield. James was listed as Bricklayer in the 1911 census and Walter a Joiner.
At the time of enlistment into the 10th Btn. Cheshire Regiment, Walter was listed as living in Queensferry, Flint.
His theatre of was the Somme and was killed in action on 10th October 1916, aged 26.
