Church Tower and Organ Appeal
Our last quinquennial report showed that major repairs were required to the tower. The parapets and merlons were all in need of attention. There were open joints and signs of movement in these areas which therefore needed dismantling and rebuilding. At the same time the entire tower needed re-pointing.

Work on the tower is now completed.

The organ is also in need of refurbishment. The present organ was a gift from Lady Fabia Stanley (wife of Henry, the 3rd Lord Stanley of Alderley) in 1875 and was made by Hill & Son, London, who were one of the most eminent organ builders of the day. A complete rebuild is planned to bring the instrument as near as possible to its original condition.

“Please help us to preserve this fine organ
for the present and future”

(Work on the organ has now begun! )

We have now reached our target!!
